Another page dedicated to turtles & tortoises - can there ever be enough?

The Table Page will show you which species I have kept so far. Time permitting, I intend to fill in a bit of information based on personal experience not (easily) found otherwise. Sorry, there will probably never be full-blown care-sheets etc.

Who is the guy?
I am a 41 year old computer professional who recently (end of 1995) moved from Munich, Germany to Southern British Columbia in Canada (both beautiful places on this earth!)

This involved, you guessed it, giving up the turtles & tortoises I was keeping at that time - which was almost as hard as leaving friends & favorite foods behind :)

I have been keeping turtles for over 30 years now. Nobel prize winner Konrad Lorenz, when asked why he chose geese for his famous studies, referred to "an unmistakable charm of an early love" (loosely translated) - I could not phrase my own interest &  affection for these interesting creatures any better.

Should you want or have to part with some of your (preferably captive bred) animals and reside in Canada please drop me a line. I am currently interested in Cuora sp., Pyxidea, Cyclemys dentata, Testudo marginata, Ocadia sinensis, Malayemys, Geoemyda spengleri.
